As a lover of French history and culture, my recent stay at Manoir de Sens in Beuvron-en-Auge was a delightful escape into the serene countryside. the property, nestled away from the touristy bustle, exudes a tranquil charm that instantly captivates the soul. Accompanied by my two granddaughters, aged 13 and 16, we were greeted warmly by Elizabeth, our gracious host, who made our stay truly exceptional. the girls were thrilled by the majestic horses and adorable foals on the working stud farm, adding a touch of magic to our experience. Our cozy room with a private entrance and a balcony overlooking the lush garden was a peaceful retreat. the interiors were tastefully designed, blending contemporary comforts with the Manoir's historical ambiance. Each morning, we indulged in a delicious buffet breakfast in the grand main room, prepared by Elizabeth herself. Exploring the picturesque countryside, we ventured on nearby hiking trails, soaking in the beauty of the rolling hills and quaint country lanes. the location, just a short drive from Deauville-Normandie Airport, provided convenience without compromising the idyllic setting of the Manoir. Elizabeth's hospitality, the stunning horses, and the peaceful surroundings made our stay unforgettable. I only wish we could have extended our visit to fully immerse ourselves in this hidden gem of Normandy. Manoir de Sens is a true haven for travelers seeking a unique and enriching escape in the heart of the French countryside.
